Voice of BME Trafford (VBME-T) has engaged in a number of projects, both large and small.
This Project is designed to create the opportunity for people from black and minority ethnic communities who are either thinking to set up their own business or expand a current business to meet with successful entrepreneurs who can share their experiences and lessons learnt.
The Objectives are:
to provide a supportive environment for people to be able to learn about setting up a business for the first time.
to provide the information and advice re the key stages for setting up a business for example: research, marketing, business planning
to offer advice and tips on how to expand a business in the current climate
to enable opportunities for people to network with other business associates and those planning to set up in business
to inspire people and build confidence via presentations from positive business role models working in the local area
This project has been possible due to personal commitment of Peter Bentley (CEO and Founder of Intuitive Recovery). Peter wrote the Intuitive Recovery course and started teaching IR in 2004.
Drop-In Sessions are held on Wednesday evenings after negotiating and obtaining use of meeting & kitchen space on a regular basis from Trafford Council. It was through these sessions that we met and recruited new Executive members, new volunteers and promoted the activities of the Cancer Project.
